A strategic leader is critical for success, especially in rapidly changing and uncertain times. Like the pilot of a ship, a strategic leader sets the direction, navigates, mitigates risk, and gets everyone safely and swiftly to the desired destination.
Whilst it is relatively easy to get stuck into the operational tasks, it can often be harder to see the bigger picture and the consequences of your decisions. People skills and strategic judgement are even more important when times are tough or in complex job situations. However for the majority of people, Judgement Index® results show that strategic thinking is frequently the weaker element.
“Strategic thinking rarely occurs spontaneously” Michael Porter
The six individual one-hour events/series will enable you to:
- Increase your ability to anticipate, challenge, interpret, decide, align, and learn.
- Develop more strategic decision making.
- Share best practice and network with other business leaders.
- Challenge and be challenged.
The on-line workshops involve challenging interaction to help you improve your strategic thinking in six key areas. You know that two minds are better than one and so the series will offer the space to think, learn and find practical strategies for your business. There is also the opportunity to gain different perspectives and accountability through group discussion and action plans.
“The session this morning was incredibly useful and resulted in a couple of lightbulb moments for me!” Sarah Reece, Partner and Chartered Surveyor
Strategic Leader Series
Each workshop will be from 9-10am on the first Friday of the month and focus on one aspect of strategy. The maximum number of delegates will be eight with two facilitators. This ensures greater effectiveness and personal involvement. Materials and support are provided for each session and pre and post-event actions will be required.
September 3rd Vision and Values.
October 1st People.
November 5th Finance.
December 3rd Growth/Sustainability.
January 7th Resources.
February 4th Succession.
In order for delegates to gain the most from this series, we ask you to commit to all the sessions. The fee is £150/person for the series of six workshops. This series is now fully booked. If you are interested in attending, please contact me and we can arrange another time on those dates.
Additionally, there is the option of undertaking the Judgement Index assessment. This measures your capacity for quality judgement. The fee is an additional £150, which includes the on-line assessment, comprehensive personal narrative report and one-hour private coaching of the feedback.
“Sometimes I hate you for pushing my boundaries, but I’m always grateful in the end. Brilliant session – come away a little bit better every time.” Oliver Hemson, General Manager
